Every day, an estimated 7 million rickshaw trips are made in the city, that’s nearly double the output of London’s underground. The drivers or pullers of rickshaw's are all men. The concept of a #woman doing such a job is nearly unheard of.

Hail captured in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Observatory announced an Amber Rainstorm signal at 9:40 am on Thursday. More than 70mm of rainfall was recorded within an hour after the announcement. A hail storm was captured on video in Hong Kong near Tin Wan, Aberdeen. The Observatory also warned of gusts reaching 70km/h or above may affect the city.

In the fourth of recommended Hong Kong walks we hike 8 KM around the small island of Ap Lei Chau, starting along the promenades of Ap Lei Chau park and South Horizons and then working our way up to the hill above the Lei Tung estate before ascending Yuk Kwai Shan also known as Mount Johnston. Hazera, Mother to Forty

Former sex worker Hazera Begum runs her own child care centre in downtown Dhaka, Bangladesh. She runs a household of 40, helped by some of the older kids, a cook and two teachers. Hazera struggled through life. Her mission now is to allow these children to study, pray, play, go to school and come home to a homely setting where they can all call her ‘mom’. She wants them to have what she didn’t get.

In a country where women are seldom seen inside mosques, she designed and build the mosque on a piece of land that belonged to her grandmother. The building received international recognition after winning the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
